Water-Fed Pole System
Water-Fed Pole Window Cleaning
No Streaking has always believed in putting the safety of our employees first, while also providing the best possible window cleaning. As technology has continued to expand in our industry through the years, we have continued to invest in top-of-the-line equipment that provides you with a window cleaning that is safe and efficient.
Today, we use a combination of traditional Window Cleaning methods with squeegees, as well as Water-Fed Pole cleaning, to give you the best possible cleaning for your windows. Due to the operational costs of using and maintaining the multiple filters, we reserved use of our WFP systems for 3rd Story Work, and some 2nd Story, to provide a safer work environment. We have now expanded our use to some 1st story work, when we believe that it will provide a better cleaning than we can by hand.
What is a Water-Fed Pole System?
Our Water-Fed Pole Systems are RODI (Reverse Osmosis/De-Ionized) 4 filtration systems that basically take the hard water from your spigot and turn it into Pure Water. As you probably know, the water in the Bay Area is very hard, so, while some companies choose to use 2 or 3 filtration systems, which are more affordable, we invested in 4 filtration systems to ensure that all minerals are being filtered out, giving you a spot free cleaning! The Poles we chose are Carbon-Fiber and can reach 3-4 stories high, and we use soft bristle brushes that have a combination of pencil and spray jets. This is NOT a pressure washing system, and it does NOT use a lot of water. The system can only filter 45 gallons of water in an entire hour, and the water that comes out of the brush streams out no more than a few PSI, just enough to keep the window wet while we clean it, and to provide a spot-free rinse.
What are the Benefits of Using a Water-Fed Pole System?
The most obvious benefit is that we can keep our employees safely on the ground, while still providing our customers with a Streak-Free cleaning.
Some people think we use it to save time, but in general, it doesn't really save time as it takes about the same amount of time to scrub the glass and to rinse it as it does when we clean a window by hand, plus it takes time to set up and break down the system. There are certain times when it could save us time and provide a better cleaning as well.
Another benefit is that we can sometimes clean the frames of your windows better than if we were to do them by hand. We always do a courtesy wipe down of frames and sills with our window cleanings, but people who have really dirty frames will see cleaners frames and sills than if we were to do them by hand.
When cleaning windows, we try to get as many small particles off of the glass as possible, within the amount of time we have allotted for the job. Of course, if we had all day, we could get every speck off every window, however, most people would not pay that much for a window cleaning. Still, we get a lot off of the glass, and use a product that also helps remove more, and also helps repel dust, dirt and pollen, keeping your windows clean, longer. Research has shown that WFP systems remove more debris off the glass than when cleaned by hand, meaning that your windows will stay clean even longer!
Are there any Cons to Using a Water-Fed Pole System?
For the homeowner, there usually aren't any big cons to having your windows cleaning using a WFP system. If used on your lanai, your lanai will remain wet for a little while, but there are no chemicals. This is pure water, same as rain. The system does hook up to your outside spigot, and will use some water, but it's rare that a house takes more than an hour to clean, which would mean a use of about 45 gallons of water, a minimal expense. Overall, WFP technology has far more pros than it does cons.
How fast will my windows dry?
Your windows will dry just as fast as they do after it rains outside. Sometimes they will still have droplets on them before we leave, but these will dry clearly, just like rain does....Rain dries clear on clean glass!!! All WFP work is still covered under our Streak-Free Guarantee. If you spot a streak or spots within 2 weeks of a cleaning, just let us know and we will come back and make it right!
